Comments: I was in the Seabees and served in Vietnam from 67 - 69. I was in Da Nang, Hue, and Phu Bia, Phulock and LZ Nancy. I do not remember the dates when MCB-9 deployed, came home and re-deployed then was decommissioned and changed to MCB-11. Can anyone help me out with dates please? I need this info for the VA to file a claim. Thanks!

Comments: I served in Vietnam with NMCB-12 from September,1968 thru May,1969. We were one of the two reserve battalions recalled to active duty. I was with D Company, "The Delta Demons". Our base was Camp Adenir, Danang. I also woked with detachments at Camp Shiels and Dienban. Hard to believe that it has been over 45 years ago. It was a time I will never forget.
Comments: Does anyone remember serving stateside with Guttorm Eriksen, 1st Class Petty Officer who trained Seabees at the Rhode Island camp? He served in 1942 and had a hardship discharge when his wife had TB. He would have been 41 years old in 1942 and he said he was nicknamed "Captain Norway" by the men, who were very fond of him. I am his daughter. Contact me at the email address given here.
