Looking for anyone that knew my Dad, Walter John Mellenberger aka "Mully".

He joined the Navy Dec 66 and served with the MCB-71 (Davisville, RI) as a CE from approx 67-69 and was in Chu Lai in 1968, but may have been in 67 and/or 69. He was also stationed at NAVSTA Rota, Spain from approx 69-71.

I was told he was friends with someone by the name of Edward Florian, whom he met at Davisville.

He was originally from Green Bay, WI and passed in 1991 in CA at the age of 44.

Anyone that knew him, please contact me at tisaacs72@gmail.com. I only got a few short years with him and am looking to find anyone who can tell me more about his time in, as well as any pictures. I'm working on a memorial for him, as well as for the grandchildren he never met, so they may know more about him as well.

Thank you to all those that have served, and those that currently are.

Tina
