Comments: My Grandfather was a Seabee in the 1940's. I was able to get some of his military records which are very limited. I do have his military ID, SS, and birth date. He was born in 1911 and was killed in a mine collapse in Wayland KY in 1948. I'm trying to find old Seabee footage for my dad who is 76. Just thinking if I could find live film or pics of his battalion after all these years it would be a wonderful reunion. he died when my dad was 11 years old. if anyone has any connections or information on how to obtain info please e mail me email@example.com. thanks so much for your time
Comments: I was in MCB4 USNR 31 and was in the seabee band. I heard it was disbanded after I got out in 72 but have never heard what happened to any of the guys or what happened to the band. Were they just given a kick in the buttt and said thanks for your service or what?
Comments: Looking for info regarding my father, William Truman Foster, Seabees 1942 to 1946. He was in training at Rhode Island 1942, then to Port Hueneme, Ca, unknown date, and on Saipan in August 1945 when B29s flew from there and dropped the atomic bombs. I can be contacted at the above email address.
