My dad was John Sandidge. His service time started 11/6/42. Rank at discharge MM1/c. Discharge says assignment at discharge was V-6. Service stations were CB, USN, CTC, Norfolk, VA. 56th NCB. R/S, San Francisco, Cal., R/S New Orleans, La. I know he was in South Pacific for quite awhile. Have a newspaper clipping that stated he was 18 mths overseas at that report time. He talked about almost getting stabbed by Japanese soldier. Anyone know if I can get info on his movements? Added: August 14, 2005 |
