Just found this great web site, I went to IPO training in Gulfport Miss. on sept. 18th 1969 right after hurricane camille hit I remember re-roofing buildings for the first week down there. My thoughts and prayers go out to all at the base and those who live in and around Gulfport. I served in NMCB5 in Danag (camp Haskins north)in 1970 then to Ben Hoa and later to Adak Alaska Detail Husky. We built an NCO club nrear the enlisted Barricks. I am looking for anyone that may have servrd with me around that time. Added: September 24, 2005 |
