Saw places I never would have seen before. Been places never would have
been before. Met men that I will never forget. Real Men, Real Places, Real
Times. We were the Bee's. We still are. Thank you for the GI Bill. Thank
you for Peurto Rico, Guam, Spain, Sicily, Italy, Morroco..........Thank you

RETIREMENT OF AMERICAN FLAGS
You can retire your tattered, worn out and frayed American flags without
cost to you. Send your flags to the Kitchen Table Gang Trust, 42922 Avenue
12, Madera, CA 93638-8866 and we will dispose of your flags in a proper and
dignified manner with full honors pursuant to the United States Flag Code
Section 8K. We have been providing this free service for the past seven
years. Our flag retirement ceremonies are held on Flag Day, June 14th each
year and are conducted by a volunteer military honor guard.

I was a builder in mcb forty from 74-78 Det P.I.74-75(great duty), Puerto
Rico 75-76 and Guam 77, good times all, All you people still in take care
and we are proud of you!

I know this might be a bit of a long shot but I'm trying to find out about
my Grandpa's time in the service. His name was Albert "Lefty"
Gittemeier and he served as a Seabee in the Pacific during WWII. If anyone
out there knew him I'd sure like to hear from you. I was too young when he
was still alive to ask much about it and he was always pretty tight lipped.

Good sight been awhile since I last visited, was a SW in CBU-402 83 to 85,
NMCB-62 85 to 88, CBU-422 88 to 91, and NMCB-133 91 to 92. Hope all fared
well in Gulfport after Kartina, been trying to find out what happened but
very little can be found

I served with MCB4 from 52 to 54,went to ACB2 in Little Creek,Va.where I
shipped for 6 yrs.Went on shore duty in Winter Harbor Me.USNRadioSta.In 59
went to MCB9 to Okinawa,Adak & Midway.Transfered to MCB5 at Hueneme,and
went index.html to Okinawa to relieve MCB3 and was discharged in Nov.1961 I was a
CMA2 for 7 yrs.Looking for my old buddys I served with.
