Important Notice about your Can-Do! Many members temporarily move from “the North Country” to somewhere down in the “Sunny South”, or vice versa. For those members there are various ways to continue receiving their mail and CAN-DO quarterly magazine. Some don’t change their address and have someone send their mail to their temporary summer or winter home; some have temporary forwarding orders so the Post Office will deliver their first class mail. Please note that temporary forwarding orders will not work for the CAN-DO because they are mailed out as “bulk rate” and will not be forwarded! If you don’t want to miss out on any issues of the CAN-DO you must send the “Change of Address” form, found in each issue of the CAN-DO, to our National Secretary at least by the 15th of the month prior to the publication date which is March, June, September, and December. There is a company seeking to employ retired Seabees to aid in the construction of the new embassy in Iraq. The job will begin in January 2006 and is expected to last from a year to 18 months. They are also looking for people to commission and inspect a water treatment plant in Singapore and an electrical plant in Egypt. Anyone who is interested in this kind of work can contact James Banwell at (410) 703-1806 cell, or (301)731-1828. Added: December 11, 2005 |
