I just found your website and think it is awesome and will check it out on
a regular basis. I am a former Seabee myself. I was with MCB 1, and was in
Vietnam in 69/70.

I forgot to add - I was a BU2, and Bob was a UT2. He was stationed at the
Philadelphia Naval Shipyard from 1983 to 1984, then at NAS Burmuda until
1987.

looking for those that served with NMCB-5 from 1973 to 1977 i was stationed
at Gitmo,Diego Garcia,and Sigonella,Sicily love to hear from any one that

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Charles V. Komppa, 35, of Belgrade, Mont., died
Oct. 25 from enemy action while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar
province, Iraq. He was serving with the 3rd Naval Construction Regiment,
Multi-National Corps – Iraq, and was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction
Battalion 18, Detachment 0618 in Billings, Mont.

Looks Like we lost another brother from 30NCR.

While there is no other info other than the construction regiment one must
assume he was a Bee.

Stand Tall and be Proud

My sympathy is extended to his brother bees ,mates and family and to all of
us who suffer his loss because brothers we are. Past present and future.
