I joined the Seabees in December 23, 1975 and was in NMCB-3 GOLD AND BLUE. I WAS ALSO STATIONED IN ADAK FOR A YEAR. LOVED IT I DID. I WAS A MARS OPERATOR FOR nnn0nrx and nnn0nri. I AM STILL PROUD TO BE A SEABEE. OKINAWA, ATSUGI, IWAKUNI, SUBIC, I LOVED IT ALL. Added: March 23, 2006 |

1st duty station was with NMCB-3(blue team)1978-1983. Spent a tour with US Naval Facility Pacific Beach,Wa.for a few years then finished at the Naval Facility in Adak,Ak.(Loved it)There were people killing themselves for being sent there,and I extended to stay there.The caribou hunting and the Halibut fishing were right down my alley!! I served with MCB-3 from March 1964 to April 1967, with deployments to Okinawa('64), Guam('64-65), Danang, RVN('65), and Chulai, RVN('66). I left as a DK2(Disbursing Clerk). I gave the U.S. Navy 10yrs. (l960-71), but once a SeaBee, always a SeaBee. SEABEES CAN DO....HOORAH! Anyone remember me? Added: March 23, 2006 |
