I was a reservist and served with MCB7 from 1963 till 1965. Made the Rosey
Roads and Gitmo deployments in "H" company. Was EAD2 when my
active duty tour ended. I'd love to catch up with BUCM Arthur E. Ortner who
left 7 shortly after I did. He was a brilliant guy and a great mentor. I'd
love to hear from any of the guys I served with. Those were 2 great years
for me.

The best years of my youth were lived as a Seabee. There are many cherished
memories. I was with the Public Works Dept. at GITMO Bay, Cuba from '71 to
'73. At Port Hueneme with MCB 10 from '73 to '75. Public Works Dept. at NCS
Harold E. Holt, NWC Western Australia from '75 to '77. And CBU 405 at San
Diego, CA. from '77 to '79. God bless our fighting forces, past, present,
and future.

I retired in 2003. Was an EA2 in NMCB 3 Gold Team, 1980 -1984. Lost track
of**ood friend of mine: CM2 Carl Cook, also from NMCB 3 Gold Team...I
think he became a San Diego Police Officer.

I retired from the Navy in 2003...still miss it...

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find people who served with my father. He was in the 58th
during WWII in the Pacific. His name is Robert Yaple and he was an MM2. He
was notorious for getting some of the "Black Sheep" pilots so
drunk they couldn't fly. Honestly! With thanks to all of you, especially my
contemporaries who served in Vietnam.

Barb Yaple, proud daughter of a Seabee!

It's great to hear from all of the bro's from OKI. I hope we can get
together in "07" for a reunion. Does anyone know how to get in
touch with Mick Knaur or Neil "B" Black? Stay in touch.

Ken
