To all the Brothers and Yes that includes you too Teet. Don't know about
you guys but seeing your names and now recieving e-mail and phone calls
from the Brothers in History. WOW I know I couldn't stop smiling. Even when
the memories started rushing in. Could see every single one of you
Brothers. What a thrill. Knowing that after all of these years we can sit
index.html and know how we are now instead of wondering. I'm glad Teet contacted
me. See Teet some of us did wear off on you. LOL Really It is great to
hear from you guys. Would like to hear from more.
"Coke" Cushman, Weber, Knauer, Webb, Vargus, Chase
And the list goes on and on. Just hope that the Nads today are able to up
hold the tradition of the Nads from yesteryears. God Bless You fellas.

for your info seabees are at work in Davisville Ri. cwo Jack Spengel
usnret. and fellow ret. and ex-seabees aretrying to build a seabee museum
at the old chaple site on the old seabee base. they have come a long way,
they have put up 8 quonset huts, all different types one small butler bld.
which houses a museum store. also a larger quonset hut on a four ft
kneewall that will be for maintainence of the area blds and the equiptment
they have, the list of which keeps growing. soon they will begin
refurbishing the old chaple in the pines. my hats off to those guys, they
still have the old seabee can do spirit, and they know how to get things
done. I suggest that if you are ever in that area that you go to the old
base, and you won!t miss their museum it!s right at the chaple and the
seabee monument I!ve been twice this month, and will be index.html. great work

My father, Jack Harvey Harper was with the Seabees at the end of WW II,
then went on to serve in the Korean War with the Army. I really wish I had
his papers here to say more like dates, divisions, etc...

I recently got curious because he has gone to a higher plain on April 12th
and was looking for information on his medals/and rank for his grandson.
Probably will be index.html as soon as I get the information. Regards, Dee

On February 1 and February 7, 1968 the Marines had two convoys ambushed
outside of Hue City. On the convoy of the 1st the wounded were brought to a
Seabee unit and the they were unloaded there. The location was what we
called The Rock Crusher next to the Huong River I think at Nam Ho. They
were with Bravo Battery 1st Bn 11th Marines in that area. I saw a Seabee
taking photos of the wounded being unloaded. If by chance that Seabee is
around I would like to get a copy of those photos.
