To all the Bees who knew Builder Senior Chief
Johnny Hix: Johnny passed away last month, May, 06 from a post surgery
heart condition. Known mostly from the Gulfport area, NMCB 62 and from
EPMAC, New Orleans, Johnny made a lasting impression on most of the fellow
Seabees who knew him. TO TEET, I was in 3's gold team and in my opinion 3
was never really divided. In my opinion it was absurd to divide a battalion
in order to decommision another one. To all the Bee's Master Chiefs: I
still support the female Bees and I will always put my troops/now civilian
employees first and always in front of myself because unlike you I am a
real man. Fair skys and following seas. God bless all of the Katrina
victims. Don.

I have three Great-Uncles who served with the Seabees during WW2 (PTO).
Last name=Haigler. All grew up in Union County, North Carolina.
One story I've heard from family is all three served the same duty stations
at one point, but missing each other within days as their assignments were
changed.

Hello,

My father served in Vietnam as a Seabee. He was with Company MCB8 and
earned the rank of SW3. He was killed in an auto accident this past
September in his adpoted home state of Texas where he worked for Dow
Chemical Company and was a rancher as well.

I am just trying to find anyone who might remember him. His name was Lester
Uhlmann and he was from Bay City, Michigan. Any comments are welcome.

Thank you.

China Lake was my last stop before I got out. Hope to hear from you guys.
