Served with CBMU02 on NAVCAT teams 11 & 18 from 70 - 71. Great experience with CB's and in Nam. The guys were great to work with. I carried the 'Can Do' Spirit with me upon returning to gater navy onboard USS Iwo Jima, LPH-2 in fuels [V-4]div. I still have that spirit today. Added: November 28, 2006 |

I just completed my tour with NMCB-1 been in for 8 years I love the BEES and the history of them. My grandfather recently passed away and he served with the SEABEES when they first organized he was in Alaska during the war, his name was James Donald Reid and hw was from New York, any info on what battalion he was with would be greatly appreciated.
