I just completed my tour with NMCB-1 been in for 8 years I love the BEES and the history of them. My grandfather recently passed away and he served with the SEABEES when they first organized he was in Alaska during the war, his name was James Donald Reid and hw was from New York, any info on what battalion he was with would be greatly appreciated. The purple heart foundation is offering Ch31 VOREHAB training to disabled vets. Visit www.purpleheartfoundation.org look at the Veteran's Business Training Center. Then Look at job training, the on line application is off to the left of your screen. They plan on training Many Thousands of Disabled Veterans for these positions. At the end of your training you will be working for companies like Dell, UPS, JetBlue and so on. The pay is $11.00 an hour while your in training. Then goes to $15.00 to $22.00 an hour after.
